The newest and most awaited release by Blizzard the makers of Warcraft and Diablo, is STARCRAFT. I am going to buy it as soon as I have enough cash. It looks great. It has low system requirements, and it sounds really neat. This is what I have heard about it so far.

It has 3, count 'em 3, different sides. I don't have their names offhand, but they are good names. One side is the small swarmer guys. They are the weak the fast and the many. They can regenerate, have babies, etc. Their only disadvantage is that all of their building have to be close together. That allows more damage to be caused with an attack with low range.

There is also the middle race which has a really cool advantage. They can move buildings! The problem with this is if they move a building that had attachments built on to it you can't take thme with you. But you can come back later!

The final race is obviously the few the strong brutes. Ony in this game they are VERY few and VERY strong. One could probably have a fair fight against the biggest swarm of little guys you can muster up.

The other cool things about this game are the translucent water, and the coolest thing of all... NOT ALL FIGHTS ARE FOUGHT ON GROUND MAPS! Like Warcraft 2 you can build boats, soldiers, and flying armies. But there are also space battles. You build your base on an Asteroid and fly space cruisers to the other asteroids to explore/destroy them.

I've never played the game, and I am just going by what I've heard. But there s noone to stop me from playing this. Especially it is going to be one of the last games you wont need a 3d card for. So for all of you guys and gals with not super computers StarCraft is a game you should try. And for those of you who can play Virtual ON on your PCs get this game, so your friends don't laugh at you.

NOTE: I wrote this before Starcraft ever came out. I have only played the game really once since then. Everything I wrote is based on what I had heard about the game before it was sold in stores. The rating is based on the one time I played at a friends house.
