Blog Spam

So I didn’t even realize that blog spammers existed. But now I do. And they can all go rot in hell. They can rot in a hell ten times lower than the e-mail spammers.

Fuck the Troops

So I’m sure that everyone has seen the yellow ribbons everywhere. There needs to be no explanation of where this troop supporting phenomena originated, why it exists, etc. This is known to pretty much anybody who is reading this. And I’m sure I don’t have to tell anyone that all these people buying multi-dollar yellow ribbon car magnets are giving their dollars to a chinese car magnet manufacturer instead of to their precious troops who need support. Because giving money to them is taxes, and taxes are no good.

Flash Mob Ghandi

At RIT, and I’m sure many other colleges, there is a group of socialists. They are good people, modern hippies. They stand out in front of the library from time to time exercising their right to free speech. They try to hand out their proletariat promoting papers (alliteration ho!) and get into discussions with people walking to class. Maybe even freak some squares. But these people will never make a difference. It is rumored that Winston Churchill once said “If you’re 20 years old and not a socialist you have no heart. If you’re 40 years and you’re a socialist you have no brain.” But despite the fact that socialism isn’t going to work and is not a valid path for the US to take in the near future, these guys are still not going to recruit anyone who isn’t already a socialist or is leaning towards it. The reason is their presentation.

Political All Stars

So it was kind of hard not turning my blog into the same thing as every other anti-Bush blog during and after the election. Instead rather, I have thought long and hard about many different aspects of the election and plan to make several +5 insightful posts at least loosely related to it. This being the first of those.

Show of Courage

I’m sure that anyone who is reading this saw Jon Stewart’s appearance on Crossfire. I myself do not watch television. The only reason I saw this occurrence was due to a nice BitTorrent I found after a friend told me that it happened and I should watch it. I can say this about that show. It makes me feel worse. Up until watching that show I would complain. I would think that someone should go onto television and take out all these stupid assholes. Try to break them. But now, I have lost hope. Jon Stewart did exactly what I asked, and was unable to break the bastards. They held firm to their stupidity and there was nothing he could do.

IMDB Streak

Whenever people discuss movies or books, inevitably someone says a sentence similar to the following. “*gasp* you haven’t see Movie X? What’s wrong with you? You must not be human.” Just about everyone I know, especially myself is guilty of being on both ends of that sentence. My roommate thought I was nuts for having never seen American Beauty and I thought he was nuts for never seeing The Usual Suspects. And so life goes on.

Taking Notes

So I’m taking a little nap in class, which I usually do in-between drawing doodles in my twenty cent notebook and going home. I’m in the standard comfortable position of sitting in my chair with my head resting sideways on the table, but then I experience a rude awakening. The table starts vibrating awakening me from my slumber. The only other guy sitting at the table is furiously typing something on his laptop which is on the table.
