In the USA we have a capitalist economy. That means people are competing to provide the best goods and services, at the best prices, for the most profit. We also live in a highly technological society. Goods and services can be provided at lower costs, higher qualities and higher quantities. Blogshares
Alright! I don’t know how old this is, but I found a cool online game today. It’s called Blogshares, it’s a fantasy stock market game. Except instead of using NYSE or NASDAQ, they use blogs and their relative popularity. Pretty cool. In order for me to play I have to claim my own blog. That means posting a bit of HTML on this site. Podcast OPML
You may or may not know that I host a podcast called GeekNights four nights a week. Well, I’m also an avid podcast listener. They are simply the best thing to entertain me all day while I commute and sit at work in front of the computer. There is a thing called OPML that allows people to share lists of subscriptions to various RSS feeds including podcast feeds. So if you like what I like just grab my OPML and combine it with your favorite podcatching software. That will get you subscribed to all the podcasts I subscribe to. I change my subscriptions fairly often, but you’ll always be able to get my newst OPML with the link on the right side of this blog.
What’s up with mash-ups?

Mash-ups are a great example of how technology is enabling average people to easily create digital content. It’s all good creative commons style action. Continue reading
Towels are Awesome
Let me tell you a story about towels. Towels are awesome and useful. They are one of the few items that you use every single day of your life, if you wash yourself that is. And they are also one of the things I am a complete nut about. Allow me to begin my tale of towels by showing you a picture of my previous two generations of bath towels and my new towels which just arrived today.
